News from North Royalton High School

North Royalton High School
August 6, 2024

Welcome from the Principal, Kristin Hubbell

I am honored to serve as the Principal at North Royalton High School. Our staff is here to create the best environment possible to engage our students in high-quality instruction and offer exceptional extracurricular opportunities. Our teachers, school counselors, administrators, and support staff are dedicated to preparing every student for life beyond high school. North Royalton High School has a long-standing tradition of excellence in academics, athletics, the arts, and student organizations made possible by the support of the North Royalton and Broadview Heights communities.

We are excited to welcome all students and families to the high school. Our staff works hard to build positive relationships with students to allow all learners to be inspired and empowered. Never hesitate to contact your student's teachers, school counselor, or the administration if you have any questions or if we can be of any help. Together, we can create a wonderful experience for students to achieve their goals.

Go Bears!

School Start Time Update

As you heard recently from Superintendent Mr. Michael Laub, we are back to our original school start time of 7:20 a.m., and we are looking forward to seeing our students on August 21! All of our student drop-off and pick-up procedures will remain the same; students are to be dropped off and picked up in the front of our building by entering Door #1.  Buses will drop students off in the back bus loop. Students will not be permitted into the building until 6:45 a.m.

Communication

As a District, we understand communication is critical for our students, staff, and families.  We have created a plan that identifies how we will communicate, what will be communicated, and where you can expect to receive or find information.  We encourage everyone to visit our website and download the District APP.

Time to Update Student Registration and Enrollment Information

It is time for parents to update student registration and enrollment information.  Please follow these steps to make sure your child's records are up-to-date.  Access to student schedules, parking permits, field trips, and athletics all rely on this information being updated.  Please take action now.

Digital Packet

Schedules for students will go live in PowerSchool on Monday, August 12. We know this is an exciting time for our students! Though we do our very best to ensure student schedules are accurate, please know there can still be changes to a student's schedule. New students and class sizes are two factors that impact schedule changes in August.

Staff members have been working hard to ensure our students are set up for success in the 24-25 school year. If you see anything on the schedule that seems incorrect, please contact the high school counseling office so we can discuss the issue.

New Student and Freshmen Parent Information Night

Parents of New Students and Freshmen are invited to an information night at 7:00 pm on Tuesday, August 13th.  Information will be shared with parents that will help get their child off to a successful start at NRHS.  This meeting will be held in the PAC and will last approximately an hour.

Parking permits will be available for pick-up on Thursday, August 15, 2024, from 8:00-11:00 am in the high school cafeteria.  Please bring your driver’s license to pick up as permits will ONLY be given to the permit holder.

NRHS  Adds School SAFEid to Safety Protocols

NRHS has added the School SAFEid visitor management system to our safety protocols.  All visitors, volunteers, vendors, and substitutes will be required to check in at one of our kiosks with a state identification card or driver's license.  This will allow us to continue to reduce risks and keep our NRHS family safe.
